Not one but ...
Three stories using magic to save the human race after science has nearly destroyed it. All in all another great set of tales. This means another set of hard decisions from our judges.

How many more could there be?
Saving the human race doesn't have to be by becoming the 'Eve' or an 'Eve'. Saving the world, where it stays saved, comes with saving one person at a time.
I like the quote from the last episode of Quantum Leap, 'Mirror Image' spoken by the bartender aka God or Time or Fate:
"Do you really believe that all you’ve done is change a few lives?"
Sam replies yes and then the bartender continues:
"At the risk of overinflating your ego, Sam, you’ve done more. Much,
much more. The lives you touched, touched others. And those lives, others. You’ve done a lot of good, Sam Beckett and you can do a lot more."
That's the way to make a real difference in real life. That is one life at a time, touching them for the better. There was a lot of good done in those stories and who knows if the ultimate result of their acts of kindness would be to save the world?
All my hopes,
Sasha Nexus
PS Grover, I definatly put your story entry in the world saving catagory. Who knows what good will come out of the kindness and what more can be done.
All my hopes,
