Yes, Stardust will close at the end of November. I started it as another home for authors to post their stories although with some limitations on the story content. I tried to have a site where the stories were something more than one long sex scene or scenes of cruelty or sexual abuse. I think I accomplished that goal but that doesn't seem to be where the bulk of interest lies in the readership. New story submissions haven't been very plentiful recently and the lack of comments is disturbing.
I just haven't been able to keep up with the demands of running a site like this and have fallen behind in welcoming new authors and tending to making the stories and the site easier to use.
I believe that everything here is available at other sites so nothing will be lost by the site's closing. I've set things up so no additional stories can be posted (if I did it right) but I left comments enabled for those few users that use them.
Thanks to the many users that visited the site and to the authors that did contribute material to post.

Sorry to see you are closing
Sorry to see you are closing the site. I have found the stories posted her to be quality and very good. It seems that the number of stories being written has been delining on all the TG fiction sites I guess with all the problems that real life brings has grown in the last few years. Since 9/11 2001 with so many people being called to active duity that the rest of us who are left have to carry extra loads in our real live duties. For authors extra pressures from work would tend to hinder the creative jucies.
Sorry to here that you site i
Sorry to here that you site is closing. It was one of my favorite sites as I am not a real fan of the sex themed stories.
It will be missed.
Shutting Down
It makes me sad to see one of the few quality sites for this type of fiction closing. I look back over the last few months and think of the time I have spent here.
I know that part of the fault is mine and other readers. Like so many others I am lazy. Enjoy a good story and to lazy or distracted to post a comment or give a pat on the back for the effort expended.
In any case a large thank you and a great well done for your efforts, they really are appreciated. If you could keep this site going even if on a reduced basis you would have the gratitude of many.
Again thank you, stay safe and healthy

Purpose
Had I known the purpose of your site I would have supported it much more.
I bothers me a great deal to have my stories bracketed by explicit sex stories. I will not post on FM in the future because of that and have asked for them to make changes in their rating plan, but have had no support on the discussion board.
Thank you for the effort you made.

The Brightest Light Burns Quickest
I won't try to talk you out of shutting down Stardust. I know that you are not doing this lightly, that you have given the matter a lot of thought. I just wanted to thank you for putting together a truly class site. Too much TG fiction is thinly disguised pornography. At Stardust one could find the genre elevated to an art form.
Thank you for this brief but wonderful island in the sea of mediocrity. I shall miss it.
May the stars shine brightly on you in all of your future endeavors.
All things considered ...
Bob,
You have done so much, for so many, on so many web sites, that I feel it is entirely reasonable for you to reduce your volunteer efforts to allow you to do something just for fun.
I truly regret not posting more here. I have stories in the queue, but I'd promised Sapphire first crack at them, and didn't feel right doing otherwise.
In any case, rest, relax, recharge, and have some fun.
Thank you, so much, for being the person you are.

Stardust closing
It is a real bummer!!!!!!
You did more than a commendable job on your site and it became one site I checked first because of the quality of the stories that were posted here. Yes the quality stories available here were sometimes available on other sites but the reader has to search them out between others of questionable content.
The other sites seem to pander to anything they can get. They make no effort to stress or insist on quality rather than what boils down to and I am trying very hard not to be judgmental, mild,to say the least,XXXX. I can understand why quality writers do not submit to those and why there has been a major and growing decline in submitted stories and in finishing ones already started.
Another quality site, Sapphire's, seems to be bogged down with updates sadly lacking in timeliness. That is not meant as a hurtful poke or jab at Sapphire it is simply a fact. Sapphire has said so herself. If Sapphire and Stardust would combine somehow that would be a real winner!! One can only hope!
I am not sure why writers did not "take" to Stardust, but to those that did, I think, showed their class. As far as I am concerned the closing of Stardust is a real blow to quality TG fiction!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
closing
I'm sorry to see Stardust close, because I know that some point, I'm to blame too. Often, I read these stories first at BC or Saph's and don't repost my comments here. I had no idea what your goal was and Stardust will be missed. Thanks Bob for the great job you do.

Too bad you´r closing
I´m very sad, hearing that you are going to shut your site down. Having just joined recently, I saw a lot of good beginnings in this site. I wish you would consider to keep the site alive.
