Severe weather test of the new T1 line

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

While I hadn't planned it and really don't see a real need for it, Mother Nature has decided to hold a test of the potential of my new T1 line to stand up to bad weather. Possibly by now you've heard that a nor'easter is supposed to visit parts the northeast again starting late on Saturday night and running into Monday next week. Early forecasts are for as much as a foot or more of very wet and heavy snow in my area. While I'm not concerned about the T1 line itself, I am concerned about the chance for the build-up of snow on tree branches taking out the power lines. If the site disappears over the next few days it's probably the power is out although I hope things stay normal around here.

The big bad storm thus far,

and don't ask why I'm awake at this time to notice anything at all cuz I just don't know, is insufficiently downpouritudinous to rate a label of torrential or even one of monsoonish. Hell, I don't even know what's falling out there. Doesn't look like snow, isn't quite rain and it's coming in at an angle I can't seem to describe. Depends on ones point of view I suppose... maybe thirty five degrees off the horizontal and from what appears to be the north. No accumulation that I can see. Prolly lots of run off tho'.

Just thought I'd share that.
