Please remember to comment!

Please remember to comment on the stories folks. Even if you aren't registered for an account you can STILL leave a comment using the link at the bottom of each story. I'll have to review comments from un-registered readers but the authors will still see them. Remember, folks, comments are all the pay the authors get from posting their stories here. Neither the authors or myself make anything from the stories posted here or your reading them since I don't charge for access and there isn't any advertising on the site.

account problems

well I have tried and tried to get my login account fixed but to no avail. I think I am the only LeiaMaire here or LeiaMarie43 but attempting to login does not work for me. Sorry to post this here but could find no direct way to contact web master / mistress. Heck even here it won't let me use my name saying it belongs to a registered user. Well if I am that user I sure can't find anyway to fix it.

your account problems

The system has tried several times to send you your password. Each time yahoo has refused the message saying that you don't have a valid email account with them.

Please email me at barnold (at) ralabs.com and I'll be happy to fix your account problem.

Commenting on stories

I've been wondering, is there something about some stories that make us want to comment, while others get no comments? For me, if something really touches me emotionally, I usually will leave a comment. I'll also often leave a comment if I feel a story is particularly well written. Sometimes, if I feel I can offer some helpful advice on a story I like.

Anyone else have thoughts on what usually encourages us to leave comments on stories?

Re: Commenting

I tend to agree with Heather, in that I comment most often on stories that affect me emotionally (especially in a positive way) or that I feel are especially well written and/or well told.

Unfortunately, as far as Stardust is concerned, I'm somewhat limited, in that I edit for quite a few of the authors here, and the authors have already gotten my comments before the stories were posted. (I don't want to appear to be shilling for an author who I'm already known to have a working relationship with.)

However, other readers can take advantage of my editing byline, if they wish. I'm in the very fortunate position of being able to pick and choose who I edit for, and I feel that all the authors I work with are excellent storytellers, albeit in some very different styles.

Authors do thrive on comments, so I'd encourage all readers to take the couple minutes necessary to leave a comment on all stories that you enjoy. Stardust is fortunate to have some of the best.

if i feel like i have something to say

I'll comment if i really enjoyed the story, if i'm confused about some of the content in the story, if i think the author has something but needs to work on it (constructive critism) and in one extreme case, when i think the author needs to be shot.
