Live webcam available

For the few of you that may be interested I've converted my static picture weathercam into a live streaming camera. All it took was the installation of some different software and a change in the web page used to display the picture. You can check out http://www.ralabs.com/weather/ to see what I've been up to.

I mention this because yet again today the weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 PM EDT for my area. I don't know if you'll see much on the weather cam but if there's a storm moving through there may be small hail or heavy rain visible in the picture.

This is sort of an experiment and as such it may not be up for more than a week or two at most. I'm testing this stuff out for potential use elsewhere.

Works well

Bob,

Firefox 2.0.0.16 under Linux runs your webcam video neatly. I tuned in just as a truck went by on the road.

Thanks for the link.

Thanks!

I'm doing some testing of the streaming stuff since there's a small chance that I'll supply a webcam and a computer to run it for some live video streaming of this year's NY State Fair. Not certain yet if they want to try it but I decided I'd show them how it can work.

Do you have rights to broadcast Jen Stevens' show?

;-)

Vid seems okay and mapquest link worked

Saw a picture of your garage I assume? No traffic at the time. The link to the MapQuest map worked fine.

A note to Itinerant, I looked and looked but no sign of Jennifer Stevens or the show, Around Midnight, bummer.
