Thanks to one and all who have taken the time to read my holiday offering, Life Passed. There have been several people in my real life, sisters of choice, who like Helen in the story, passed a portion of their life to me as they transitioned into the next life. Even though I never experienced the physical transformation that Marcus does in the story, their love for me passed to me strength, support and knowledge which enabled the amazing transformation to the woman that I am today.

I am a work in progress, full of the potential added to me by my sisters of choice. There are those who live in this world and those who abide beyond the farthest star. It amazes me that those who are physically so far from me are really the closest because they abide in my heart.

Halloween will always be a special time for me since it marked, in 1999, the milestone of my presenting my female gender openly among my friends all of the time. My sisters of choice became that much more dear to me as my birth family totally shunned me. I learned at my sister's feet not realizing that I had so short a time with several of them. Their gift to me was passing their lives to me and so they live on through me.

Thank you to all of you who commented. Each comment is precious to me. Thank you to those who read but do not yet have the courage to comment. I understand since I was there too. I feel that to join this community openly by becoming a commenter is worth the risk. The owner and helpers of this site have been proven time and again to be trustworthy. It really does help in the labor of love that we writers give freely, when we receive some love back through your comments.

Happy Halloween to those of you who find this the only day of the year to openly express your true selves. Happy Halloween to those like me who enjoy the fulfillment of expressing your true selves every day of the year. May each of you have success in your journeys that are unique and right for yourselves.
