Doing better but...

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

I'm starting to feel better after taking two days to keep warn and treat myself a bit better than normal. I have a weight problem and have been trying to stick to a diet to get rid of the excess pounds. Sometimes the diet doesn't work so well and I have to eat a bit more to keep feeling good. Otherwise I get incredibly bad headaches. I think I'm finally getting rid of the latest one.

I wish that it was warmer outside. Temps have been down in the single digits for the past two days and aren't likely to get any better tomorrow when I have to go out to take care of some errands. I wish I could put them off a couple of days but I just can't.

Well, back to staying warm.

Bob

The single digits ABOVE zero F? A bleeding heat wave

It was 12 below F here in Wauwatosa at around 8:20AM today, the 15th. We never got above around five or six below and will at best be in the teens below tonight and that's near Lake Michigan, much colder inland.

By early next week we may be in the low 30's above. This is playing havoc with the pavement and water lines around town. And my windshield cracked from a small chunk of something that fell off a semi that passed me on the freeway so I need to get that fixed, oh joy. The cats are unusually friendly, though try to shift them from the floor by the hot air register in our upstairs bath and they get a might testy.

I love it, the US Weather service said 2008 was warmer than average and December was colder than average and we are well aboe the average for a winter's snow, heck we're ahead of last year, the snowiest or second snowiest on record depenting on where in SE Wisconsin you were last winter.

Bob, best wishes on getting well and your diet. Loosing weight is one of the best things you can do for arthritic joints.
