Day of Remembrance Gathering

NOTE: Scott posted an incorrect URL for the Nova Party Line that, if used, will take you to an older version of the public timeline page. Please use http://nova.stardustr.us/ (note that I've removed the "?page=5") as the correct link to get to the most recent display page. I've also corrected the links below as well. (Bob Arnold)

I would like to invite everyone to drop by the Nova Party Line on Thursday, November 20th, 2008, between the hours of 5PM and 11PM PST (8PM and 2AM EST) for an online gathering in honor of the Transgender Day of Remembrance. This isn't anything fancy, and we're not going for anything overly somber or sad. It's just a gathering of friends; you don't even have to say anything -- though if you don't at least say hello, we won't know you're there. :)

Here's the link, Nova Party Line, just in case you need it, and I've got a few more scattered through this blog. You will need to register in order to participate, but it's quite painless I promise.

For those who may not be familiar with the Nova Party Line, there is one important thing you need to know. This is not a chat room, it's a microblog. The major difference is you have to refresh the page to see any new post. You also need to be sure you're on the main page to see everyone -- if you're on your personal homepage you will only see people you are subscribed to. You'll know you're on the main page if you see "Public Timeline" under the Nova Party Line banner. If it says " and friends", you are on your homepage and need to click on the Nova Party Line banner to get to the public page.

If you use Firefox, you can get a handy plugin called ReloadEvery that allows you to set web pages to auto-refresh.

I hope to see a lot of you there. Even if it's just for a minute or two, please drop by and say hello.

Thanks Bob

I thought I had fixed that... :(

Sincerely,

Calvin: Last-minute panic.
